Ugidani Spice is an ordering app for Indian food — biryanis, kebabs and tandoori plates for collection or delivery, paid in cash on delivery. This page explains exactly what the app keeps, where it keeps it, and what it never touches.
Ugidani Spice is published by Daniel Jensen. The app is deliberately small: a menu, a dish builder, a cart, a promotion field, a checkout step and an order history list. Nearly everything it remembers lives in the app's own storage area on your phone.
We do not run an advertising business, we do not sell data, and we do not profile you. The only information that leaves your device is the handful of details the kitchen physically needs to cook your food and hand it to you.
Last updated 22 September 2026The following is written to local app storage and is not uploaded anywhere:
Deleting the app removes this local data from your device.
Nothing is transmitted while you are only browsing the menu or filling a cart. At the moment you confirm an order, the app sends the kitchen:
Payment note: orders are settled in cash at handover. The app has no card entry screen, no wallet integration and no stored payment credentials. We never see, hold or process card or bank details.
If you allow it, the app may use your device location once to pre-fill the delivery address field or to show which branch is nearest. This is a one-off convenience — no background location, no movement history, no location log.
You can decline the permission and simply type the address yourself; the app works identically. The permission can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
Order details are visible to the restaurant staff preparing and dispatching your food, and — for delivery orders — to the driver assigned to your order, who sees the address and phone number needed to complete the drop-off.
We also rely on ordinary technical providers to run the service: hosting for the order system and a messaging provider used to send you an order status message. These providers process data only on our instruction and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We will disclose information beyond this only where the law requires it, or where it is genuinely necessary to deal with fraud or a safety incident.
Order submissions travel over an encrypted connection. Access to order records is limited to staff who need it to run the kitchen and deliveries. On-device data sits in the app's private storage area, protected by your device's own passcode and sandboxing.
No system is perfect, but because the app collects so little and stores no payment data, the amount of information at risk is intentionally minimal.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the order information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to a particular use. To exercise any of these, write to daniel.jensen37@gmail.com with enough detail (for example an order number and phone number) for us to find the record.
You can always delete your local cart and order history from within the app, or by removing the app from your device.
Ugidani Spice is intended for adults placing food orders and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from a child. If you believe a child has submitted an order with their details, contact us and we will remove the record.
If the app's behaviour changes — for instance if online payment is ever added — this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the date at the top will change. Material changes will be flagged in the app.
Questions about this policy go to daniel.jensen37@gmail.com, or through the support page.
